SVFormica Group in cooperation with Plaat Detail was main sponsor of the Estonian Furniture Industry Association’s 4th conference.
The Formica Group, in cooperation with Plaat Detail, was the main sponsor of the fourth conference of the Estonian Furniture Industry Association, which was attended by 167 people.
Providing an overview of the latest trends in the furniture industry in Estonia and worldwide, the conference was held on 17 October 2013 in Kumu. It addressed issues in furniture production, sales and exports and the future of the furniture industry in Estonia, Europe and Asia.
The conference was opened by Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications Juhan Parts. A brief address was also given by Toomas Luman, the Chairman of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The MC for the event was Raivo Vare.
The main presentation was given by IKEA Sweden Production Manager Per Berggren and Purchasing Manager Tord Skoog, who provided an overview of IKEA’s manufacturing philosophy and business models.
